This release includes the enhancements and fixes described below.

VMware 8.0

You can now deploy the Unitrends Backup appliance to vCenter 8.0 or ESXi 8.0. For details, see the Deployment Guide for Unitrends Backup on VMware.

UI enhancements

●   Dashboard tiles – Updated font and border styles, added this reports icon to applicable tiles: . Hover to view a description of the report or click to run the report.

●   Reports – Added breadcrumbs to reports.

Security updates

Applied appliance security updates.

Windows agent

This release includes an updated Windows agent. The latest agent is recommended for most 64-bit Windows assets.

Fixes

The following table lists fixes included in this release.

Agent	●   Windows image-level backup – Fixed an issue where backups failed after data had been migrated from an NTFS drive to a ReFS drive.
Hot backup copy	●   Connections to newly updated Cloud targets will automatically retry if the initial connection fails.
Instant recovery (IR)	●   Fixed an issue where VMware IR failed in cases where the virtual host's password contained special characters.
