This release includes the enhancements and fixes described below.
Enhancements
- Improved the Unified Bare Metal process.
In isolated cases, client metadata was not processed properly, causing restore failures. - Improved behavior when protected agent assets are renamed.
- A next-generation Linux file-level agent is included in this release.
- Brings the base OS packages up to AlmaLinux 9.6.
Fixes
- Resolved an issue with appliance recovery and share configurations.
- Resolved an issue where iSCSI mounts could cause false-positive disk health alerts.
- Fixed a UI issue that was visible when attempting to re-save hot copy jobs.
- Fixed an issue that allowed multiple schedules to be created for a single file-level asset.
Now, when a single protected asset requires multiple schedules with inclusions or exclusions, the aliasing process is followed. - Resolved an issue where UniView was not properly updating Unitrends backup statuses.
- Fixed an issue where the agent Windows Backup and Protection Service process could end unexpectedly during Hyper-V VM backups.
- Resolved a bpnetd issue with the Windows agent on Server 2025.
- Fixed various UI issues visible when attempting to browse restore points in the backup browser.
- Fixed an issue with Recovery Assurance testing of Image Replicas hosted in VMware where Recovery Assurance (DCA) reported that testing couldn't occur because of the VM power state.
- Resolved an issue with file-level restores created from the backup browser not displaying the correct objects.
- Added numerous security fixes.
- Fixed and improved critical CentOS7 to AlmaLinux9 processes for all supported platforms.
