This release includes the new features, enhancements, and fixes described below.

New Features

  • FIPS: VMware host-level backup and restore.
  • FIPS: Backup copy replication to Unitrends appliances.

Enhancements

  • Modernized and expanded our support of the VMware VDDK.
  • Nutanix AHV 7.0.x UBRS certification:

    Update: March 30th, 2026 - We've now certified Nutanix Acropolis Operating System (AOS) versions 7.3 and 7.5 as of the 11.0 Unitrends release.
    11.0 originally certified version 7.0, but we've added versions 7.3 and 7.5 to this release as certifications.

  • Security improvements. This update enhances authentication for CentOS 7 and AlmaLinux 9 appliances.
    To complete these measures, please be prepared to reset your web UI password immediately following the update.
    CentOS 6 appliances are not included in this security bulletin.

Fixes

  • Resolved an issue that impacted on-appliance network traffic to and from QEMU guests.
  • Resolved isolated wbps.exe issues during file-level backups on Windows 2012 R2.
  • Resolved an issue re-saving Nutanix assets in the UI.
  • Resolved a Recovery Assurance service restart issue.
  • Resolved a defect that prevented sending PDF attachments to emails.
  • Resolved an agent start issue that could lead to "Service 'BP Agent' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." messages.
  • Resolved an issue that caused winexesvc.exe to be incorrectly flagged as malicious.
  • Resolved an issue that led to “Schedule already exists for <Node_name> client instance." messages during edits to file-level backup schedules.
  • Resolved an inconsistency between the UI and backend port filtering for the High security level for the OpenVPN dependent replication service.
