Enhancements
Enhanced Dashboard Interaction and Visibility
We have introduced informative tooltips to the Endpoint Backup (EPB) dashboard buttons, including License, Policy, Start, Pause, and Delete actions. These tooltips provide immediate clarity on button functionality, reducing user confusion and the likelihood of accidental operations. This enhancement directly addresses feedback regarding feature discoverability and improves the overall user experience for dashboard management.
Refined Search Bar Functionality
The global search bar has been updated to trigger new requests immediately upon pressing the Enter key, streamlining the search workflow. This change removes the need for manual button clicks, allowing for a faster and more natural navigation experience. Additionally, the system now automatically trims whitespace from search queries to ensure that accidental spaces do not interfere with finding the correct assets.
Fixes
Dashboard and Search Accuracy
Resolved an issue where the dashboard continued to show filtered results even after the search criteria were cleared, ensuring the asset list remains accurate to the current filter state. We also corrected the Storage Usage header to accurately reflect only the data for filtered assets rather than showing the total usage for all items.
Onboarding Workflow Integrity
Fixed a bug in the onboarding process that caused incorrect Organization and Policy IDs to be assigned when resuming a draft tenant setup. Additionally, we addressed an issue where the backup level assignment step could be bypassed for storage accounts that contained no actual storage resources.
UI and Navigation Stability
Corrected a display issue where the File Share assignment level would simultaneously show an empty state message and a resource tree, which led to user confusion. The search filter position is now fixed while scrolling, and icons have been restored to the "Type" dropdown menu to improve visual clarity.
Email and Notification Delivery
Updated the text in backup report emails from "the Backup.net team" to the "UniView team" to prevent emails from being incorrectly flagged as phishing attempts by security software. This change ensures that critical backup reports reach user inboxes reliably without being blocked by automated filters.
Asset and Resource Management Fixes
Fixed a logic error where the last successful backup timestamp was missing from the dashboard for certain assets. We also resolved a bug that prevented the search functionality from working correctly when users navigated to the search page directly from a BackupIQ card.
