UniView 2.104 – April 9, 2026

In this release, we're introducing foundational audit logging, focusing on reliably capturing and storing key user and system actions so you can obtain audit trails for compliance, security, and operational analysis. We've also made UniView faster to work with, simpler to monitor, and more reliable behind the scenes.

Better visibility and control

New feature – audit log

UniView now provides an audit log that shows critical user and system events, enabling audit trails for compliance, security, and operational investigations, with export and extended coverage coming in future phases.

UniView dashboard improvements

Smarter search and filtering

You can now quickly find the assets you care about with improved search and filter options in the UniView dashboard.
This makes it easier to locate specific endpoints and focus on what matters most.

Faster page updates

The asset list can now refresh without reloading the entire page.
This reduces wait time and creates a smoother experience when you're monitoring or managing multiple endpoints.

Enhanced restore details

Restore Operations now includes a detailed drawer view for recoveries, showing clear source and destination asset information including IDs, device type, media access control (MAC) address, and restore path along with technical details such as recovery point, timing, transfer progress, and status, making it easier to track, audit, and troubleshoot restore jobs.

Reliability and reporting fixes

Restore to alternate agent

We've fixed an issue that could cause restores to an alternate agent to fail.
Restore operations to alternate agents are now more reliable and consistent.

Endpoint backup reporting – daily growth metric

The Daily Growth metric now displays correctly instead of always showing 0 B, giving you accurate insight into your data growth over time.

Alerting threshold for "days without backup"

We improved alerting behavior so that the "days without backup" threshold can be configured to higher values.
This gives you more flexibility to align alerts with your organization's policies and risk tolerance.

Spanning

Improved domain deletion automation and audit

We’ve enhanced domain deletion handling so that customer-initiated removal requests now include the requesting user’s email, allowing the system to automatically approve eligible domains for reaping while maintaining full audit capabilities and leaving existing behavior unchanged for system-driven actions or calls without user context.

Spanning trial on-boarding without a subscription

You can now start Spanning trials for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Salesforce Sandbox even if you don’t have an existing subscription. New trial domains are on-boarded using a legacy subscription type behind the scenes, letting you quickly evaluate Spanning’s backup capabilities without any upfront licensing or contract commitments.

Entra

Clarified Entra Microsoft 365 (M365) restore workloads

We’ve updated the Entra “Restore M365 Data” workloads to match the product design, ensuring only the supported options (Mailbox, OneDrive, Calendar, Contacts) are shown and removing the unsupported “Files” workload for a clearer, more accurate restore experience.
