Cancel a restore

You can now cancel a restore that is in progress from the Recovery Operations screen.
Select Cancel from the row actions menu, then confirm in the dialog.
The operation moves to Cancelling while the cancellation is processed, then to Cancelled when it completes.

NOTE  Only users with the Superuser or Admin role can cancel a restore.

IMPORTANT  Cancelling a restore cannot be undone.
Data that was already written to the destination stays there, and UniView does not remove it for you.
Review the destination after you cancel.

Storage entitlement for used licenses

The Storage Usage tile now calculates your Endpoint Backup storage pool from the number of licenses in use when that number is higher than the number you purchased.
If you are consuming more licenses than your committed minimum quantity, your entitled storage grows with them instead of staying capped at the purchased total.

Enhancements

Ask a question

The Ask a Question item on the Help menu now opens the backup discussions in the Kaseya Community.
It previously pointed to a page that no longer exists.

Fixes

  • The bandwidth limit shown for a backup policy now matches the limit that is saved.
    Previously, selecting a limit stored a value ten times smaller than the one you chose, so backups ran far slower than expected.
    Review the bandwidth limit on your policies to confirm it is the value you want.
  • Users with the Manage role now see assets on the Datto Backup Portal dashboard.
    The asset table previously showed No Assets for those users even though the assets were visible to Superuser and Admin users on the same tenant.
  • Cancelling an alternate-destination restore or a bare metal restore no longer returns an error.
  • A cancelled restore no longer stays in the Cancelling state.
    It now moves to Cancelled once the cancellation completes.
  • Endpoint Backup reports now show a loader while the report is being generated instead of reporting that the report is unavailable.
  • Endpoint Backup reports that include a paused metered asset now generate successfully.
  • The backup success history is no longer blank for the current date.
  • The Started value in the backup progress tooltip now shows when the backup actually began.
    It previously showed the time of the most recent progress update, so the value changed while the backup ran.
